Morning all Well they only have one fit centre back. According to the bbc website Louis van Gaal admits that his squad are struggling to get to grips with his ideas. Never a better opportunity to beat these!!!! IRONSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Morning Charley!
Pretty sure we know what's going to happen. A wounded Manu combined with us feeling confident and 'flying high' can only mean one thing.
That said, they're genuinely weak at the back and I really hope we really go at them and make them suffer for the points. I'd be happy with a draw to be honest. Irons!

Agree, with everything seemingly pointing to us getting something we will be rolled over and I expect a heavy defeat. I said the same last week though because we always lose to Liverpool and Man Utd. In fact they have beaten us in 19 of the last 22 meetings.
Can we beat one of the big boys again. Very unlikely but on paper we have a better chance than usual. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst as usual.

Looking forward to this, would obviously love all 3 points but as long as we give it a real good go I'll be happy!

Should be a doddle. We only have to get past inexperienced players like RVP, Falcao, Rooney, Di Maria, Herrera, Blind, Mata and Fletcher. Then their useless defence that includes Argentine WC finalist Rojo, £30m Luke Shaw, Brazil International Rafael so that we can get to their 1 inexperienced defender....
Don't know why I expect little and hope for the best as always....

I've said before that you were the only poster on here worth reading for analysis. However, in my humble opinion, you've been wobbling a bit of late.
Focus man!

I want a win, but I'd be happy to settle for a draw if they are on form. Defeat is not an option!

As long as we go down fighting, i will be happy. Just fight fire with fire.......
When you see their attacking though, they don't really need a defence do they..............
We will set up with 10 behind ball I am sure of it ;-(

Yeah I think you're right :)]
I put it down to that old phrase "its not the disappointment and pain, its the hope that kills me".
The manager/owners seem to have addressed the big problems we had in the team and squad. There are still improvements to be made of course (CB for example) so now I worry that we will find a way for it all to go pear shaped. 50+ years supporting this club does that to you :)

I'd be playing 3 CBs today with wing backs to crowd the midfield. If he plays 4 at the back we'll get a shoeing. 4-1 I reckon.
But with the 3 CBs .... 2-2

Interesting team selection with the replacement of Kouyate ... I'd like to see confidence put in Poyet. A positive move.

Play in our last third for a point and we get none
Play as much as possible in their last third and run at the full backs at CB - if they play a three go wide down the flanks
Happy with a draw - either way expect goals, lots of goals

I never thought we'd get a better chance than last season to turn this lot over they were woeful then.
Not sure the attacking stars have gelled and bought into the work ethic required for the premier league.
If we pay them too much respect they will beat us as always, take the game to them and we may still lose but at least they will know they've been in a game of football
